Return to New York at Blue Sky Gallery

I’m honored that ten photographs from my series Return to New York will be on display in the Pacific Northwest Viewing Drawers at the Blue Sky Gallery in Portland, Oregon through March 2013. These images are among those featured in LensWork Issue #97, November-December 2011.

The Blue Sky viewing drawers were established in 2007 and feature original prints by contemporary photographers from Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, British Columbia and Alaska. This year’s exhibition features bodies of work by 68 photographers and was juried by Laura Moya, executive director of Photolucida, and Clint Willour, curator at the Galveston Art Center. Visitors to the gallery are welcome to view work in the Drawers by opening any one of the flat files or by asking the Gallery Attendant for assistance. A video showing samples of the work is posted on Vimeo. All my photographs are limited edition archival pigment prints on warmtone baryta fiber paper with and image size of 18 by 12 inches matted to 24 by 18 inches.

The Blue Sky Gallery is located at 122 NW 8th Avenue in Portland, OR and is open Tuesday to Sunday from 12-5pm. There will be a First Thursday opening reception on April 5, 2012 from 5-9 pm to help celebrate Portland Photo Month.
