Artist Trust 'Celebration' at WSCC

Artist Trust, a non-profit organization whose mission is to support and encourage individual artists working in all disciplines in Washington State, is presenting Celebration, an exhibit featuring artists who have participated in the Artist Trust EDGE Professional Development Program. The exhibition features the work of over 160 emerging and established artists and will be on display from July 21 through October 18, 2012, at the Washington State Convention Center, 800 Convention Place in Seattle, WA, with a reception on September 7.

I was honored to have been among the seventeen artists selected for the 2008B EDGE program and it was a seminal event in the development of my career as an artist. In addition to the EDGE program, Artist Trust also provides a variety of other valuable funding and training resources for artists.

I am delighted that my photographic print Dante Monument from my series Avoid Naples! is included in the exhibition.

TPS 21: The International Competition

I'm delighted that my photo Linea 2 near Montesanto, Naples was awarded honorable mention in the Texas Photographic Society 21 International Competition. The exhibition includes the work of 59 artists and will be on display at the A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, Texas, from August 3 through August 26. It will then tour to other venues for one year. An exhibition catalog will be available from Blurb and an online gallery of all accepted images may be found on the TPS website. The competition was juried by Aline Smithson, an award-winning photographer and author of the Lenscratch Blog.
