Judge's Award for Staten Island Ferry

I am please to report that my photo Staten Island Ferry was selected as the Judge's Award - Mirror of Society winning entry for the Urban Realism exhibition at the C Art Gallery.  Many thanks to Cheryl Shaw and Sonya Green of the gallery for curating an excellent show.

RISE Exhibition at Seattle Design Center

I will have four prints from my One Thin Line series on display at the RISE exhibition at the Seattle Design Center, 5701 Sixth Avenue South, Suite 258, in Seattle.  The exhibition will be on display from April 19 through May 20, with RISE gallery hours 10am - 2pm on Mondays - Fridays and by appointment.  This exhibition presents over 130 pieces of contemporary art including photography, painting, sculpture, encaustic, basketry, bronze and glass by 26 graduates of the Artist Trust EDGE Professional Development Program.  A complete listing of all of the participating artists with links to their websites may be found here.  Each artist has also donated artwork for a silent auction that will benefit the Rise n' Shine Foundation, an organization which offers assistance for children and teens affected by HIV/AIDS. The auction will also benefit Artist Trust.  There will be an auction preview on Saturday, April 24 from 3 - 5 pm with the auction taking place between 5 and 8 pm. There will also be an Artist Reception on Saturday, April 24 from 5 - 8 pm.

TPS 18th International Competition

My image Second Class Bus Station, Oaxaca  -  Rue Pierre Lescot, Paris from my series One Thin Line will be on display at River City Silver in San Antonio Texas through May 15 as part of the touring exhibition of the Texas Photographic Society 18th International Competition.  This exhibition was juried be the renowned photographer Cig Harvey.  An online catalog of the exhibition may be viewed here.

Childhood at Odessa College

My image Coney Island Boardwalk, Brooklyn, which is part of the Texas Photography Society exhibition Childhood will be on display at the Learning Resource Center at Odessa College through May 28, 2010.  This competition was juried by Jamie Lee Curtis, the film actress who is also the author of several best-selling children's books. Hello/Goodbye at Skylight Gallery

Three prints from my Metro series will be on display at the Skylight Gallery at the University of Washington Medical Center, 1959 NE Pacific Street, Seattle, from April 8 through May 28, 2010 as part of the University of Washington Photographers Group exhibition I Say Hello, You Say Goodbye/You Say Hello, I Say Goodbye.  The exhibition includes work by eight photographers associated with the University of Washington and was organized by Maria Festing.

Urban Realism at C Art Gallery

Three prints from my series Sidewalks of New York will be in the Urban Realism exhibition at the C Art Gallery, 855 Hiawatha Avenue South (one block east of Rainier Avenue South at Dearborn), from April 8 - 22.  There will be a closing reception and award ceremony on April 22 from 5:30-7:30 pm.  Normal Gallery hours are Tuesday through Thursday 3:00 to 6:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 to 6:00 pm.  This exhibit includes work by 12 photographers that depicts aspects of urban society.

Art Not Terminal at Art Institute of Seattle

Three prints from my series Sidewalks of New York will be on display at the Art Not Terminal at Art Institute of Seattle from April 1 - 30 in the Burnley Gallery, Seattle, WA.  There will be an opening reception on April 1 from 4 - 7pm. Gallery hours: 8am - 6pm on weekdays.
