Art Photo Index

The Art Photo Index has just officially launched. This online, searchable index currently contains over 12,000 images by nearly 3,000 art and documentary photographers who have been invited to display their work. All of the included artists have been vetted at a high level and recognized for their work by awards, publications or gallery representation. Artists manage their own profile pages and images on the website which also contains their artist statements, biographical sketches and contact information. The Art Photo Index was conceived by Rixon Reed, Founder/Director of photo-eye. The API has been years in development and it was designed to be the most useful index and search engine for discovering and exploring fine-art and documentary photography. I'm proud to be included in this innovative endeavor.
